The Polish Network of Mobility Information Centres is a part of the European EURAXESS Services Network resulting from the initiative of the European Commission and the 35 participating countries, which aims at structuring the supporting the transnational mobility of researchers. In each of these countries, there have been set up centres helping incoming researchers with issues concerning visa and other entry formalities, as well as residence and working conditions.

The Polish Network of Mobility Information Centres began to operate officially on 8 November 2004, organising a conference in Warsaw which was attended by MichaƂ Kleiber, the Minister of Science and Information Technology, and Achileas Mitsos, the Director General for Research in the European Commission. It was established on the basis of the existing network of contact points responsible for the implementation of the European Community Research Programmes in Poland. It includes the National Mobility Centre in Warsaw and 10 Regional Points set up in higher education institutions or research institutes.

Euraxess Poland Portal is an instrument supporting the work of the Polish Network of Mobility Information Centres. It includes detailed and continuously updated information and practical advice which may be useful for researchers before and after their arrival to Poland. Such national portals have been established by 35 countries and you can access then here.
