Thesaurus Poloniae fellowship for researchers PDF Print

The International Cultural Centre in Krakow has announed a new call for a 3-month fellowship in Poland. The fellowship is financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland.
 
The programme is addressed to non-residents of Poland  who conduct their research on culture, history and multicultural heritage of the Republic of Poland as well as on Central Europe.
 
Each year the International Cultural Centre organizes two calls for applications, and six fellowships are awarded in each call:

• first call opens on 15 January and ends on 29 February 2012;
• the second call opens on 15 April and ends on 31 May 2012;

CALL FOR PROPOSALS 2011
 
The Scholarship and Training Fund established within the EEA Financial Mechanism and Norwegian Financial Mechanism aims to contribute to the development of social and economic cohesion within European Economic Area through facilitating cooperation in the field of education between Poland and the donor-countries: Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
 
Foundation for the Development of the Education System, Intermediary of the Scholarship and Training Fund has announced the 5th Open call for proposals for study visits (up to 2 weeks)in Poland.

Deadline for submitting applications: 1 August 2011

Eligible applicants are the following candidates:

  • doctoral candidates and young researchers,
  • representatives of institutions active in the field of education

from the above-mentioned 3 countries.

Laboratory of Molecular and Cell Neurobiology seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow to study iPS cells in the brain. This ERA-NET-funded position is available immediately for a period of up to 2.5 years, and requires previous experience in neurobiology, work with rodents and microsurgery. Experience with either cell & molecular biology techniques or electrophysiology will be an asset.

Individual mobility grants for young researchers PDF Print

The Polish Scholarship and Training Fund fund has launched a €250,000 open call for individual mobility grants. Funding is available to cover individual study visits of up to two weeks, including a lump sum to cover living expenses, the cost of travel and insurance costs.

The aim of the Scholarship and Training Fund established within the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism is to support educational cooperation between Poland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.

In this call financing covers:

  • Visits of doctoral students and young researchers from the donor countries to carry out research studies in Polish research institutions;
  • Individual study visits of Polish and donor country citizens - representatives of institutions propagating university education (such as Conferences of Rectors, the State Accreditation Committee, Community Accreditation Committee);
  • Individual study visits of representatives of educational institutions in Poland and in the donor countries (active in the primary school sector, vocational sector and adult education sector).

Eligible applicants:

- Doctoral students and young researchers (up to 40 years of age) from Poland and the donor countries
- Representatives of institutions active in the education sector (apart from representatives of colleges/universities involved in the “Mobility Projects”).

Deadline for applications: 1 August 2011 (new date)

FOR BIOINFORMATICIANS AND BIOLOGISTS

 

 

The Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Systems Biology at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling (University of Warsaw) invites applications for PhD student positions (4 years) that will be available immediately as part of the TEAM program funded by the Foundation for Polish Science, entitled “Application of systems biology to study important processes in Saccharomyces cerevisiae”.

Monthly fellowship: PLN 3,000
