Offer Description
In order to reduce GHG-emissions by at least
50% by 2050 compared with 1990 levels and incresease carbon sequestration and storage a
strong systemic approach is required. In the frame of the CleaNFarms project, which is based
on 20 demonstration case-studies, systemic innovative solutions will be tested and evaluated
using up-to-date modeling approaches and multicriteria assessment tools. In this contest
U.C.S.C. will participate in the development of a modelling tool, which integrates remote
sensing information, to model C removal from the soil, soil C dynamics and that will be used
to develop management strategies to increase C sink in agricultural soils.
The candidate will mainly work on the integration of remote sensing to crop and soil models,
it is therefore requested a specific competence in these fields.
