Outline

The Research Training Group "SocialCars - Cooperative (de-)centralized traffic management" and the DAAD Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP) jointly award two full scholarships for doctoral studies on either Route Choice, Parking Space Management, Accident Modelling, Traffic Management, Vehicular Communications or Ridesharing.

The goal of our research is to improve the safety, sustainability and efficiency of future urban traffic by cooperative traffic management strategies. A key research question is how individuals can make optimal use of the transport infrastructure so that safety is increased and congestion and pollution are reduced.

We offer two positions in an interdisciplinary team with ample opportunities for collaboration and will provide systematic supervision and mentoring throughout your doctoral work.

The dissertation projects offered encompass all of our research areas:

Starting at the earliest on 1 October 2020 and at the latest on 1 December 2020, funding will be provided for four years through the DAAD GSSP.
