Institute of Chemical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Gliwice, Poland invites applicants for a full time position at the position of post-doc (assistant professor). We are looking for a candidate having a PhD degree (obtained not earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project) in chemical engineering, chemical technology or similar disciplines.

The beneficiary will be involved in project carried out at the Institute and described on the Institute's website (www.iich.gliwice.pl). The project is related to:

- solid foams structure optimization and modelling;

- experimental examination of the solid foams;

- reactor modelling and assessment.

Specific Requirements

  • Specific Requirements to be met by the candidate:
    • PhD in chemical engineering or similar disciplines like chemical technology or environmental engineering
    • good knowledge of Polish and English
    • good knowledge and experience in heat, mass and momentum transfer
    • good knowledge and experience in Ansys Fluent, Solidworks, Matlab
    • knowledge in the field of chemical reactors engineering, reaction kinetics, catalysis and experience in laboratory experimental research are welcomed
    • at least 4 publications present in Journal Citation Reports
    • ability to work in a team
