in the Institute of Biochemistry - Department of Plant Biochemistry

 

The position is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in the Act on Higher and Science of 20 July 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and the Statute of the University of Warsaw

Employment conditions: 1 full time, temporary employment,

the candidate selected in the competition will be subject to regular periodic evaluation of the university staff.

the candidate selected in the competition will be subject to regular periodic evaluation of the university staff,

 

The candidate is required to:

 

  1. the PhD degree or higher in the field of biological or similar sciences
  2. scientific achievements in the field of biochemistry of plants, documented with original and review publications in significant scientific journals
  3. experience in teaching, skills in organization of student courses and managing bachelor and master theses, activity in popularization of science
  4. the knowledge of secondary (specialized) plant metabolism, expected laboratory background in chromatographic methods, determination of plant metabolites, maintenance of in vitro cultures, English language knowledge, scientific writing skills

Candidates should familiarize themselves with the research issues of the unit they apply to before the interview.

Documents should be submitted to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Biology of the University of Warsaw (Warsaw, Ilji Miecznikowa 1, room 104 A). The deadline for submissions: January 31, 2020.,

 

Applications will be considered by the Faculty Recruitment Commission. The Faculty reserves the right to answer only selected offers and to close the competition without selecting a candidate.

 

The contest will be settled before than February 29, 2020.

 

This contest is the first stage of the employment procedure of the academic staff, specified in the Statute of the UW. Its positive result will initiate further stages of the employment procedures.
