EURAXESS is a European initiative that supports international mobility and career development of scientific researchers. The network connects more than 700 research institutions across European countries, helping international staff pursuing their career on the continent.
In Poland the network is gradually growing having reached so far 30 member universities and research centres which commit to providing assistance and information to incoming international researchers and their families. The activities of EURAXESS Poland are coordinated by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
What does network membership offer?
EURAXESS members are enthusiasts who help create attractive working and living conditions in Europe, promoting their countries to scientists from all over the world. Network members share up-to-date expertise, experiences and best practices related to hosting researchers in order to continue professionalizing their services. Being part of the network allows participation in European initiatives, projects, events, facilitating networking opportunities with the international community in 43 countries in Europe and worldwide.

NAWA's funding programme called “NAWA-EURAXESS Network” addressed to Polish higher education and research institutions is crucial in supporting Polish members developing services and activities addressed to international staff. The programme's main purpose is to build regional partnerships among research institutions and other organisations (such as public administration, NGOs, companies, ect.) acting for the benefit of international staff in Poland.
The programme is funded by the European Funds for Social Development (FERS).
