Position Summary:
Susquehanna University invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor with expertise in the area of animal physiology to start in August 2024. The Ph.D. is required by August 2024, and post-doctoral research experience is preferred. Demonstrated success or evidence of potential to excel in teaching and advising undergraduates is required, as is evidence of ongoing scholarly productivity.

Teaching duties will include organismal biology and upper-level courses in animal physiology and cell and molecular biology. Teaching may also include the first-year seminar and non-majors biology courses as needed. Evidence of a strong commitment to pedagogies that foster diversity and inclusion is required. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a compelling research program accessible to undergraduate student participation and collaboration. Their research will ideally be able to take advantage of the well-supported research facilities in the Natural Sciences Center, which include a flow cytometer, confocal and scanning electron microscopes.

Required Qualifications:
The Ph.D. is required by August 2024 .

Preferred Qualifications:
Post-doctoral research experience is preferred.
